United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 52,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2024 on 6,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 280+ campuses worldwide (just 5%) were selected to host the 4,000+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: The Green Africa

The Green Africa is an initiative that is et towards building a healthy and habitatable environment, where items in the ecosystem can be reused and recycled.
Another focus of my project is the Green building, where we create solutions to issues tackling that is facing our construction industry in term of developing sustainable cities and communities

About the Millennium Fellow

Israel Dunsin Akanji, a young, proper, vibrant, and intentional student studying Quantity Surveying.
The Federal Republic of Nigeria is his place of birth and still his country of residence till date, He resides in the Federal Capital Territory of Nigeria- Abuja, and currently Studying in Bayero University Kano. According to his untainted record, Israel has always been passionate about the need and change for sustainable cities and communities, always spreading the word about the creation of the green ecosystem. This social impact has motivated him to create more awareness within his local community and he's willing to extend this social impact to the global community as well. He's doggedly determined and dedicated towards the social impact by advocating for a green ecosystem management services and development of sustainable cities and communities.
During his Diploma days and now in his degree years, he has successfully engaged in various campaign projects geared towards development of sustainable cities and communities. It has always being Israel's dream and aspirations to be a professional in this field, constantly raising awareness and driving campaigns about the creation of green buildings and development of sustainable cities and communities.
On this note, Israel is committed to making positive impacts by learning, and contributing to the development of the United Nations' Sustainable Goals, there by creating a better future for all.
