Millennium Fellowship Project: Youth Mind Unveiled
Project Title: Youth Mind Unveiled
Tagline: Unlocking Mental Health Solutions for Young Minds
Problem Statement: Mental health issues among youth in tertiary institutions in Nigeria are on the rise, with stress, anxiety, and depression being the leading concerns. The burden of academic expectations, social pressure, and uncertain future exacerbates these issues, while stigma and societal reluctance to address mental health problems prevent many from seeking help.
Objectives:
1. Create a safe and non-judgmental space for young people to share their concerns, experiences, and questions through moderated discussion forums and confidential chat support.
2. Provide practical self-care tips, mindfulness exercises, and stress-reduction techniques to promote mental well-being.
3. Reduce stigma associated with mental health discussions and encourage open conversations.
4. Improve mental health literacy and awareness among youth, families, and educators.
5. Foster a supportive community that promotes self-care and mental wellness.
Target Audience: Youth in tertiary institutions, ages 18-25

About the Millennium Fellow
Zainab Sa'ad is a highly motivated and dedicated individual with a passion for advocacy in mental and emotional awareness.
Born and raised in Kano state , Zainab has always been passionate about public speaking. Having made lots of presentations in high school have gained some experience in public communication. She is someone that is curious and always ready to learn new things and share it with people .
Zainab is a year four student of Agriculture is committed to ongoing learning and professional development.
She is someone that likes reading interesting things at her leisure time. She likes books related to emotional intelligence and mental intelligence and always strive to be the best version of herself in all aspects.
With all these, Zainab wants to pose a positive impact in her society and country at large. She always believed in the power of positivity. Stay positive like she always say.
