" I know there is so much work to be done if we want to actually solve the vicious cycle of problems around us. And I know that only truly willing individuals can generate ideas and empower them further to mitigate them. So, what can be a better way to do that than a platform full of individuals who are here to be changemakers ? "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Decent Work Warrior
The 'Decent Work Warrior' comic series was initially created during my time at university in collaboration with fellow students. Our goal was to develop an engaging and educational platform to promote the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goal 8 - Decent Work and Economic Growth. The series highlights the importance of fair wages, safe working environments, quality jobs, and equal economic opportunities for all. Through relatable characters and compelling stories, we aimed to raise awareness among young people about issues such as workers' rights, gender equality in employment, ending child labor, and supporting entrepreneurship.
I am now continuing the project through my organization, Kashful Foundation. As a business student, I am passionate about expanding this initiative and sharing it with a broader audience, particularly my peers. The comics will be released across our digital platforms, distributed in printed formats, and workshops will be conducted to engage individuals in understanding and promoting SDG 8.
The project's mission is to contribute to creating an economy that offers decent job opportunities and empowers individuals to escape poverty through productive employment. We are working to further amplify the impact of the comic series, expanding our reach and continuing the conversation around decent work and economic growth.
