Millennium Fellowship Project: Apatya- With Love & Care of Moms

Apatya is an innovative initiative aimed at empowering and economically uplifting housewives in Bangladesh. The platform serves as a comprehensive marketplace that allows women to leverage their skills, monetize their talents, and engage in various economic activities. By focusing on homemade food, skill monetization, and providing safe transportation options for female drivers and riders, Apatya addresses the unique challenges faced by women in the workforce.
Key Components:
1. Homemade Food Marketplace:
Apatya provides a user-friendly online platform where housewives can showcase and sell their homemade dishes. This initiative not only allows them to earn income but also celebrates the rich culinary heritage of Bangladesh. Housewives can register under different plans, enabling them to operate like small-scale restaurants.
2. Skill Monetization Services:
The platform encourages housewives to monetize their diverse skills, whether in cooking, crafting, or offering courses in various subjects such as beauty, sewing, and digital content creation. This multifaceted approach opens up numerous income-generating opportunities for women, fostering entrepreneurship.
3. Female Drivers & Riders:
Apatya collaborates with existing ride-sharing platforms to provide safe and comfortable transportation options for women. By integrating female drivers, the initiative addresses safety concerns and enhances the travel experience for female passengers, promoting gender equality in the transportation sector.
4. Freelancing Account Linkup:
Apatya acts as a bridge between housewives and mainstream freelancing platforms like Fiverr and Upwork. By linking their freelancing accounts, women can enhance their visibility and credibility, allowing them to showcase their skills and secure gigs more effectively.
