" As I mentioned before, my upbringings have made me aware of many issues in my community. I wish to be a Millennium Fellow to learn certain skills so that I can be more capable of helping those in need. Being a Fellow to me means that I get to take advantage on every program or opportunity that can help me be a better person and help me have the skills to actually make a change. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Formación para la vida Laboral
It consists of preparing the children of CAHOVA so that once they leave the foster home, they can secure quality employment. This is achieved through training related to the recruitment process, verbal and non-verbal communication, and job interview practices.
About the Millennium Fellow
Nailea Ponce Roano is a passionate citizen that feels deeply for her community. She grew up in an environment where she was exposed to poverty, hunger and pollution, this made her want to become an active advocate for environmental issues and problems linked to the lack of knowledge on the SDG's. Currently she is a strong leader amongst her student community and is currently working on a project that will help homeless kids find good job options.
