Millennium Fellowship Project: Exploring Gender, Social Justice, and Feminism

Our project aimed to look at gender issues through an intersectional approach. We see this as super important because generalisation and speaking of universal feminism movements are not quite accurate. Therefore, we brought light to other stories, such as Arab feminism, by watching a documentary followed by a discussion. Moreover, we wanted our project to touch on grass-root issues, and we cooperated with an NGO in Vienna who was willing to offer a workshop regarding sexual violence, toxic relationships, and how we as citizens can prevent femicide. Last but not least, we also had a discussion with the Gender Officer in CEU, who talked about institutional mechanisms to address harassment and specifically sexual harassment.
