Millennium Fellowship Project: You Can- Quality and Inclusive Education for All
My initiative titled ‘You Can’ is a project that organised an interactive session for the students belonging to the higher secondary classes of grades 10, 11 and 12. The target group of this project are different from any other as they belonged to the rural areas of Kerala, identifying themselves as the members of SC and ST communities. The problem that I aimed to address was the immensely outdated educational practices in these rural areas that failed to keep up with the latest advancements in smart learning and efficient utilisation of screen time. My objective was to familiarise these students with various aspects of smart learning, including the efficient use of AI for better learning, lessons on how to identify one’s area of interest, introduction to the major entrances for higher education in India and better utilisation of screen time with the help of apps like LinkedIn to foster skill enhancement and employability. The material that I used for the session was also shared to increase the efficiency of the exercise after a fruitful feedback session with the students.
