UNITED NATIONS ACADEMIC IMPACT AND MCN PROUDLY PRESENT ISHAT NITIN NAGPAL, A MILLENNIUM FELLOW FOR THE CLASS OF 2024.
Christ (Deemed To Be University) Delhi NCR Campus | Ghaziabad, India | Advancing SDG 10, SDG 5, SDG 16, SDG 17 & UNAI 7

" To begin with, there are two primary reasons that motivate me to be a part of the Millennium Fellowship: inclusivity of diverse people and finding alternatives to fabric production.
Diversity being a familiar topic to all of us, I feel it is one of the most important causes of discrimination that we shall all resolve collectively. Moving on to the latter reason that motivates me for this fellowship... the 17 SDG Goals focus on creating a sustainable environment with more conscious choices and fashion being one of my key interests, not only as an activity but a business venture. Thus I wished to take it upon myself to discover alternatives to produce fabrics and curating sustainable clothing garments. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Diversity Threads
As a literature project in my 12th grade, I had researched gender diversity and learned realistic facts about the societal and legal struggles regarding diversity discrimination. This experience made me realize how important it was to address the barriers resulting from diversity. Thus, I am willing to give direction to my thoughts and research, put them out in the real world, and preach or guide in the most basic manner regarding the essence and significance of a unified and respectful society that upholds inclusivity as a common regard for all, irrespective of their belongingness in terms of race, gender, caste, religion, or any given sort of discriminatory grounds. Diversity Threads is a project aimed at uplifting and guiding discriminated individuals on varied basis/castes or gender
