Millennium Fellowship Project: Safe Shakti Haven
The project aims to create awareness amongst women to safeguard themselves from being subjected to domestic violence and strategize on how they can combat it, along with talking to the men and educating them on how they can serve as male allies so that women are not subjected to domestic violence and educating the children with life skills and self-defense to keep themselves safe. Sessions were conducted to create awareness around menstrual hygiene, and self-help workshops were done for the women to ensure their well-being.
About the Millennium Fellow
Khushi singhal is a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual. She is a budding counselling psychologist . Khushi was born in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh , India and currently she is pursuing a triple major course in psychology, sociology and English from christ ( deemed to be university ) , Delhi NCR . She is the president for a club under the Girl Up initiative which goes by the name of Girl Up Inaara . Khushi has been passionate about making a strong impact in the society and bringing about change , she has been doing work since her school time by volunterring at NGO and villages for projects along with her school for which she also received an award . In her college she has been consistently doing work under the center for social action to bring a positive effect in people's lives and also she continues to volunteer at ngos. She aspires to continue her efforts and plans to bring a positive impact on more number of people through her work.
