" Adaptability and leadership are my forte, the core strengths that I utilise to move anything forward. This Millennium Fellowship not only gives me an opportunity to put all my energy and skills to use but also acts as a ground for improving and enhancing these qualities. The Millennium Fellowship also excites me because I will get to meet and learn from other fellows like me, who have this passion in them to make our living on the planet happier. The collaborative ideas and efforts of my fellow Millennium Fellows will present innovative solutions that align with the UNAI and SDG principles; being a contributor to this collective impact will be an honour. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Healing Horizons: Breaking Silence, Building Resilience

Healing Horizons: Breaking Silence Building Resilience is a group initiative by my fellow Shreyaa MR and myself. We aimed to reach out to as many students as possible from our campus, and provide them with any help they need with regards to their mental health, specially anxiety. We planned to collaborate with some psychologists we know who were specialised in the field to help us with this project. With the help of these Doctors, we conducted 2 general meetings where we discussed all that this initiative planned to do and encouraged any conversation that the students wanted to have. We also encouraged the students to be comfortable and they can choose to remain anonymous if they wish to. The students actively engaged in the session and talked to the doctors personally in case they needed a one-one session for them. We also asked them for feedback to know if the project was impactful and if it improved their student life in the University and we were very happy to hear positive responses from lot of them.
