" I want to do the best in my power to eradicate education inequity, starting from my country, Pakistan. I am very excited to be a Millennium Fellow and I would use this platform to raise awareness of education inequity and engage in impactful projects that can really help nurture the talents and dreams of young learners, especially those from underprivileged backgrounds. I find myself volunteering at every opportunity I get towards this cause because I have been raised to believe that education is the answer to everything. And positive education and young minds honed to think peacefully and with love, I believe that the world can be a much better place. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: The Learning Mosaic Initiative

Learning Mosaic Initiative 'The Learning Mosaic' is an outreach education project aimed at improving primary education quality in under-resourced schools in Rawalpindi. The endeavor strives to provide firsthand interactive learning materials to encourage creativity and develop critical thinking with curiosity among young learners. The resource base for buying a vast array of educational materials ranging from textbooks to counting tools, abacuses to writing boards, is raised through community donations and fundraising efforts. These tools are selected very carefully to meet the developmental needs of children and create a lively, interactive classroom environment in which experiential learning literally thrives. The initiative also has a collaborative intent with employing local schools to partner them with enthusiastic heads and staff who have shown commitment level towards the improvement of educational outcomes. Such resource endowment will assist teachers in their practice to inspire students so they have a meaningful learning experience. The project stands for equalizing differences in education and empowering learners to realize their potential. The belief under which it goes is that small, target interventions have lasting impacts and make learning enjoyable as well as accessible to all children.
