United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 52,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2024 on 6,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 280+ campuses worldwide (just 5%) were selected to host the 4,000+ Millennium Fellows.

To do work for environment and public health,leadership is a mandatory skill.For any
kind of change making activity in society,education of social community is a must.This
skill can be stronger by Millennium Fellowship.It gives a confidence and guideline to
give direction towards the success of a project.That's why being a millennium fellow is
a great opportunity and I'm highly interested. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Sanit Chitta

The "Sanit Chitta" project aims to improve sanitation practices and awareness in urban slums, particularly focusing on children's health and well-being. The Key Activities are:
1. Community Assessment: Conducted a survey to understand the current sanitation conditions, awareness levels, and challenges faced by the community.
2. Awareness Campaign: Organized a campaign to educate the community about the importance of sanitation, hygiene, and menstrual health.
3. Material Distribution: Provided essential sanitation items like soap, masks, hand wash, and sanitary pads to the community members.
4. Capacity Building: Demonstrated proper handwashing techniques and other hygiene practices.
By empowering the community with knowledge and resources, the project seeks to:
1. Reduce the spread of diseases.Improve overall health and well-being.
2. Create a cleaner and healthier environment.
3. Foster a sense of community responsibility towards sanitation.
The project aims to establish a sustainable model for improving sanitation in urban slums, leveraging community participation and government support. By cultivating a culture of cleanliness and hygiene, the project hopes to contribute to the overall development and prosperity of the community.

About the Millennium Fellow

Partha Sarkar,a person of jolly,innovative and scientific mind.He is a student of
B.Sc.(Hons.) in Environmental Science in Institute of Forestry and Environmental
Sciences,University of Chittagong,Bangladesh.From school years,he is passionate
about change making works mainly in community platform relating
environment,climate,health,food,nutrition and sanitation.In recent years,he did some
social and climate action projects also to save earth from the track of destruction.As
it’s a crucial stage to save our community from tremendous effects of environmental
degradation,climate issues and health issues he is eager to do works to ensure their
safety from these.
He is always ready to plan and implement any kind of innovative,environment and
public lifestyle friendly projects to reach the SDG goals using his scientific knowledge.
