" " I am very passionate about bringing a meaningful impact in the lives of the needy. My collective, Sachi Seva Foundation provides them with necessities like food, and clothing so that they live a life with dignity. I have been working on this issue since age 18 and hope to create an ideal world where three healthy and nutritious meals are available to everyone. " "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Sachi Seva Foundation
On May 8, 2021, my parents initiated a commendable project to aid those severely affected by COVID-19. In the face of adversity, they generously distributed free food, masks, sanitisers, and oxygen cylinders to those in need. My father earned the title "Langar Waale Sardar Ji," in recognition of his steadfast dedication to providing langar (free community kitchen meals). Inspired by their altruism, I have consistently
undertaken the task of distributing food to the less fortunate in our neighborhood every Sunday for over two years. To amplify our impact and bolster credibility, I established the Sachi Seva Foundation, an organization dedicated to promoting selfless service. I firmly adhere to the belief that "Hands that help are holier than lips
that pray." Acknowledging our ongoing privilege, I aim to contribute meaningfully to those in need. Our efforts have expanded, and we now provide a nutritious meal to over 75 individuals every Sunday. My ultimate goal is to foster a community where
hope and success prevail over the challenges of hunger and poverty, transforming the ripples of change into powerful waves.
