"

Millennium Fellowship Project: Building Bridges:Knowing Your Soul

In our struggle with mental health, we are afraid of labels people might ascribe to us or the
stereotypical image they may create around us. My project aims at eradicating this fear of
judgement through a magazine(students may choose to maintain their anonymity) in our
campus. It has been a safe platform for my friends to express their thoughts, feelings and
concerns in an undeterred manner. An online version of this magazine has also been made available to
high school students. The magazine has accounts from the pandemic as well . The goal is to make it
raw, intimate with a sense of empathy. Another dimension to this project,is to campaign for
suicide prevention. This has been done by collaborating with theatre societies in our college
to inculcate the theme of suicide prevention in their plays, debate clubs to introduce this theme
in their motions, and posters. For students staying away from their homes, an online movie session
with their parents(support group) has been one of the bonding activities under this project. Lastly,
as a lot of students suffer from an Impostor syndrome feeling they are not enough, mentor-
mentee groups with seniors and juniors have been made (where talent search, picnics and movie
sessions have been organized at their convenience)
