Millennium Fellowship Project: Promoting HPV Vaccine Awareness In Underserved Communities
This project focuses on raising awareness about the HPV vaccine in underserved communities through educational campaigns, workshops, and collaboration with local healthcare providers. The aim is to address misconceptions, improve vaccine uptake, and promote preventive healthcare practices to reduce the prevalence of HPV-related diseases. Special emphasis is placed on culturally sensitive outreach and engaging with key stakeholders, including schools and community organizations, to maximize impact.
About the Millennium Fellow
Houzhi Chen is a dedicated and globally-minded pre-med undergraduate student majoring in Global Health with a track in Biology at Duke Kunshan University from China. A global study experience in China and the United States has enabled Houzhi to cultivate a strong passion for population health, with particular interests in epidemiology and clinical research. Through his internships at Global Hospitals, US Medical Schools, and Chinese Centers for Disease Control, Houzhi has gained significant experience in infectious disease control and equality of medical resources. He aspires to contribute to global health by addressing critical public health challenges through research and practice.
