" Millennium Fellowship offers a forum whereby the ideas I have to help the society can be put into action. This alone truly delights me. I love people, I care for people, being able to do a something that helps another person whether small or big is what fuels my life. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Egerton Youth Empowerment Forum

Egerton youth empowerment forum is a space whereby youths and even adults get to nature their talents. Not only nurturing their talents but also improve the state of their mental health. When we youths are idle we tend to engage in behaviour that are detrimental to our future such as drug abuse. With these forum youths get a space to redirect that energy in a fulfilling way.My dream is to help my friends and fellows peers grow in their individual strengths to a level that they will nature others too.

About the Millennium Fellow

Joanne Jemutai is an intelligent, creative thinker who's very passionate about community service. Currently she is taking a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery at Egerton University, Kenya. As a young girl, Joanne would fight for justice even in the minute things and this hasn't changed over the years.Born in a small town called Nandi Hills, it is genuine care for her people that pushed her to begin serving the community even from a very tender age. All through primary and high school she has had the privilege of serving as a leader which served as a strong foundation in nurturing her leadership skills. Currently in the University she has joined several clubs that strive to help our society, whereby she holds a number of leadership positions. It is in these forums and with the opportunity at Millennium Fellowship that Joanne aims to continue promoting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
