United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 52,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2024 on 6,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 280+ campuses worldwide (just 5%) were selected to host the 4,000+ Millennium Fellows.

" Samuel Swaray is a social entrepreneur and a third-year Business Administration student at Eastern Technical University, Sierra Leone. He is an alumnus of the Tony Elumelu Foundation for African Entrepreneurs and the Young African Leaders Initiative West Africa, and he is the CEO of Samuel's Bakery Enterprise.
Samuel co-founded the Students' Initiative for Sustainable Development Goals, which focuses on accelerating the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals. The organization has rolled out a successful project with the Ministry of Environment to plant 5,000 trees. He is also the former Minister of Education at the Eastern Technical University Students' Union Government and the winner of the Eastern Technical University Sierra Leone Pitch Night 2024 and recipient of the Sierra Leone United States Alumni Awards 2024. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Media Literacy And The Sustainable Development Goals

The project is to engage students, youth leaders of the Eastern Technical University on how they can effectively use social media and connect and inspired students to take lead on acclerating the achievement of the sustainable development goals.
