" "One of my core values is to support and uplift others in this life. I want to be able to show people who look like me or look up to me that not only can you do it, but you can set the new standard. I do not take this distinction lightly and I plan to use my platform to better the lives of as many people as I possibly can." "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Project S.A.S.S. (Sisters Achieving Serenity & Success)

Project S.A.S.S. (Sisters Achieving Serenity & Success) tackles disparities faced by underserved young girls of color from inner-city backgrounds, focusing on challenges like food insecurity, lack of guidance, and limited access to essential resources. The initiative aims to empower these young girls by offering mentorship, scholarships, and basic necessities, creating a supportive foundation for their growth and achievements. Through events that include mentor pairing, essential goods distribution, and a graduation ceremony, the project measures success by the impact on the girls' confidence and self-sufficiency. By addressing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 5 for gender equality, Project S.A.S.S. fosters social impact by building resilience and motivation among marginalized youth, inspiring them to pursue their goals and see their potential despite societal challenges.
