Millennium Fellowship Project: MillieText

This project, AheadOfTheCurve: A Life Essentials Manual, is a subsidiary of a project called MillieText whose mission is to make STEM textbooks student-friendly free through an evidence-based design for accessibility. AheadOfTheCurve's approach involves writing a student-friendly adulthood readiness textbook of guides developed through the collaboration with reputable organizations specializing in areas like tax filing, effective study habits, vehicle maintenance, nutrition, technology literacy, financial and fraud literacy, and more. Partners will reach a young audience by equipping them with essential skills, and MillieText can improve its credibility and reputation through association and a sought-after textbook. However, only after creating the guide drafts will we have established a starting point for collaborative discussions and have conducted the market research to identify the credible and socially conscious leaders in their respective spaces.

About the Millennium Fellow

Enrique Torres, founder of AheadOfTheCurve and MillieText, is spearheading an educational revolution rooted in accessibility and inclusivity. His personal experiences as a student with disabilities, reading slower than his peers, have fueled a passion for breaking down barriers in education. AheadOfTheCurve, a subsidiary of MillieText, addresses UN Sustainable Development Goal #4, Quality Education, by creating a student-friendly adulthood readiness textbook. Collaborating with reputable organizations, the project aims to make essential life skills accessible to all, aligning with UN Academic Impact Principle #3, Education for All. Enrique's vision extends beyond textbooks; it's about transforming the entire methodology of textbook creation, fostering an environment where every student, regardless of background or ability, has equal access to quality education. With a continuous and far-reaching influence, this initiative ensures education stays or becomes a liberty for everyone, not constrained by heritage, class, race, financial standing, or learning style. Enrique's journey signifies a commitment to challenge norms and make education truly accessible.
