Millennium Fellowship Project: Greenfin and Sustainability for Higher Education
This project aims to tackle the gap in awareness and education about sustainable career paths and financial literacy to drive meaningful change in the Miami-Dade area and university community. It supports Sustainable Development Goals #4 (Quality Education), #8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), and #13 (Climate Action) by promoting diverse green career paths—from green finance to environmental organizations and nonprofits—and equipping students and community members with the skills to navigate these fields.
The initiative provides students with education on “green careers” and circular economy concepts, encouraging them to consider roles such as corporate ESG, sustainable finance, and the nonprofit sector to address the most pressing challenges worldwide. In Miami-Dade, financial literacy coaching empowers local residents to achieve economic stability, building resilience against economic challenges. Through workshops, career fairs, and individual coaching, this project fosters a community driven by sustainable values, aiming to create long-term social impact.
