" I'm thrilled to be a Millennium Fellow because it's a catalyst for change, empowering me to amplify my voice and mobilize collective action against climate change. I do this work because I believe in the transformative power of youth-led initiatives and collaborative efforts to create a sustainable future, where everyone can thrive. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Green Akhuwateers

Green Akhuwateers are a dedicated group of around 30 students from Akhuwat College for Women in Chakwal, passionately addressing climate change issues. Through awareness campaigns, tree planting initiatives, recycling prodeucts, sewing cloth bags, and sustainable practices, they aim to inspire their community and foster environmental stewardship. Their efforts not only contribute to the global fight against climate change but also empower young women to become leaders in sustainability. Together, they strive to create a greener, more sustainable future for all.
