Millennium Fellowship Project: Green Akhuwateers
Green Akhuwateers are a dedicated group of around 30 students from Akhuwat College for Women in Chakwal, passionately addressing climate change issues. Through awareness campaigns, tree planting initiatives, recycling prodeucts, sewing cloth bags, and sustainable practices, they aim to inspire their community and foster environmental stewardship. Their efforts not only contribute to the global fight against climate change but also empower young women to become leaders in sustainability. Together, they strive to create a greener, more sustainable future for all.
About the Millennium Fellow
Huria Bint E Ashiq is a driven and passionate individual, pursuing her bachelor's
degree in International Relations from Fatima Jinnah Women University. With a strong
foundation in academics, she is dedicated to making a difference. Huria is deeply
enthusiastic about addressing climate change and actively engages with organizations
to contribute to her country's development. Her academic pursuits and extracurricular
endeavors demonstrate her commitment to creating a positive impact. Through her
studies and community involvement, Huria aims to acquire knowledge and skills to
drive meaningful change and promote sustainable development.
