Millennium Fellowship Project: Green Akhuwateers
Green Akhuwateers are a dedicated group of around 30 students from Fatima Jinnah Women University and Akhuwat College for Women in Chakwal, passionately addressing climate change issues. Through awareness campaigns, tree planting initiatives, recycling prodeucts, sewing cloth bags, and sustainable practices, they aim to inspire their community and foster environmental stewardship. Their efforts not only contribute to the global fight against climate change but also empower young women to become leaders in sustainability. Together, they strive to create a greener, more sustainable future for all.
About the Millennium Fellow
Malaika Khan is a bright and an intelligent girl. She is a sharp observer. She was born in Rawalpindi, Pakistan and studying IR at the Fatima Jinnah Women University. She is keen to take on challenging endeavours. Her interests lie in SDGs, climate change and the UN. She strives to delve into these areas to understand global challenges and contribute to meaningful solutions.
