Millennium Fellowship Project: Green Akhuwateers
Green Akhuwateers are a dedicated group of around 30 students from Akhuwat College for Women in Chakwal, passionately addressing climate change issues. Through awareness campaigns, tree planting initiatives, recycling prodeucts, sewing cloth bags, and sustainable practices, they aim to inspire their community and foster environmental stewardship. Their efforts not only contribute to the global fight against climate change but also empower young women to become leaders in sustainability. Together, they strive to create a greener, more sustainable future for all.
About the Millennium Fellow
Memoona Khalid is a very bright, yound and responsible girl. She is 20 years old. She lives in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. She is currently studying International Relations from Fatima Jinnah women University. Her main area of interest in this field is Political Economy. She has been passionate about the social welfare since her childhood. She had done few community works related to social welfare. She wants to bring a change in the society, bring justice to powerless, help poor and to demonstrate to everyone that good people still exists.
