Millennium Fellowship Project: Green Akhuwateers

Green Akhuwateers are a dedicated group of around 30 students from Akhuwat College for Women in Chakwal, passionately addressing climate change issues. Through awareness campaigns, tree planting initiatives, recycling prodeucts, sewing cloth bags, and sustainable practices, they aim to inspire their community and foster environmental stewardship. Their efforts not only contribute to the global fight against climate change but also empower young women to become leaders in sustainability. Together, they strive to create a greener, more sustainable future for all.

About the Millennium Fellow

Nusrat Usman is a bright, young and globally competitive doing her graduation in English at Akhuwat College for Women Chakwal affiliated with Fatimah Jinnah Women University, Rawalpindi. She was born in the Pakistan, resides in Bahawalnagar, and is currently studying in Chakwal, Pakistan; a responsible citizen of the world. For as long as she could remember, Nusrat has always been passionate about her advocacies for social justice and human rights. This spirit drive from her experiences and push her to continue this dedication to international level and play her role in a social change. As she is doing such beneficial acts from her early years of education and wanted to pursue her contribution in the development of the UN’s Sustainable Goals.
