Millennium Fellowship Project: Green Akhuwateers
Green Akhuwateers are a dedicated group of around 30 students from Akhuwat College for Women in Chakwal, passionately addressing climate change issues. Through awareness campaigns, tree planting initiatives, recycling prodeucts, sewing cloth bags, and sustainable practices, they aim to inspire their community and foster environmental stewardship. Their efforts not only contribute to the global fight against climate change but also empower young women to become leaders in sustainability. Together, they strive to create a greener, more sustainable future for all.
About the Millennium Fellow
Tehreem Rauf is a young and energetic student of Economics at Fatima Jinnah woman university, Rawalpindi. Economic instability and social disparities made her to persue career in Economics. Along with that she has a keen interest in working for the UN SDGS. She is a fellow member of an organization working on climate change in her county. And wants to contribute more through Millennium Fellowship .
