About the Millennium Fellow

Mohamed Abdulai Koroma, Widely known as Ambassador Justice, is a passionate change advocate born in Waterloo, Western Area Rural District, Sierra Leone. He is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of the Peace and Justice Advocacy Network-Sierra Leone. A young Sierra Leonean leader, communicator, and Millennium Fellow, he is also a public speaker, radio presenter, youth and child advocate, and an actor within his community. Additionally, he serves as a religious leader.

"I was 13 when I joined advocacy. It’s extremely challenging because so many people doubted my strengths, and I had no finance to pioneer any activities. So, I used my voice and the money given to me by my parents for lunch." He strongly believes that "each and every one of us has a talent which we should use wisely in the sight of God the Almighty, for our family and our country."

He serves as the IEC Officer of the Child Right Ambassadors Network-Sierra Leone (CRAN-SL) and Welfare Chairman of the Children's Forum Network Western Area Rural District (Sierra Leone Children's Parliament), the largest child-led advocacy organization in Sierra Leone with over 1,000 members and branches in Freetown, Kenema, Bo, Makeni, Kono, and Kabala, with school chapters in almost all major schools in the country.

Beyond CRAN-SL, he is the Executive Director of the Peace and Justice Advocacy Network, Ambassador for Africa Agenda 2063, Ambassador for International Global Network (IGN), Ambassador for Youth International Leadership Institute Network (YIL-NETWORK), Member of Children's Career Movement (CCM), Member of Youth and Children's Empowerment Forum Africa (YCEF-NETWORK), and Public Relations Officer for the Institute of Students Union Reforms SL, among other roles.

He has a wealth of leadership experience, having held numerous positions over the years, including serving as an advisor for the Girls Not Brides Network SL and Secretary General for the Mining Students’ Association at Fourah Bay College. "I'm so disciplined, and youth like us give hope for youth in Sierra Leone," he states. "I'm the 21st-century leader in whom 70% of the people are well pleased with. My contributions to national development are enviable. I am always with the grassroots, less privileged, and needy; I will always render services to them free of cost because I’m one of them."

Currently, he is pursuing a Bachelor of Engineering (Mining) degree.

He is a profound public speaker and influencer, having written several articles and poems and attended numerous conferences, trainings, and workshops over the past five years.

His hobbies include praying, helping others, reading books, listening to news, and playing and watching football, being a staunch supporter of Manchester City.

He is a humble personality with determination and a vision to make Sierra Leone and Africa a better place. His goal is to raise awareness among young people to be patriotic and take responsibility for their country.

From a young age, he witnessed and experienced the impact of gender inequality in his community, especially on women and girls. Growing up as the only son in a family of four girls, he saw firsthand the unequal access to education, opportunities, and decision-making power faced by women and girls. This ignited a passion in him to fight for a more equitable world where everyone, regardless of gender, can thrive. His journey began at age 13, fueled by a desire to advocate for children's rights, particularly around gender issues. Despite initial doubts and financial constraints, his voice became his weapon, amplified by the lunch money his parents generously provided. This early conviction evolved into a lifelong mission to break down gender barriers and create a world where all young people, regardless of their gender, flourish. His involvement with the Children's Forum Network-Sierra Leone (CFN-SL) and other organizations fueled this passion. Through advocacy campaigns, community outreach, school sensitization, and media engagement, he has gained valuable experience in mobilizing young people and amplifying their voices on critical issues like gender-based violence, child marriage, and access to education for girls.
