United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 52,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2024 on 6,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 280+ campuses worldwide (just 5%) were selected to host the 4,000+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Chessademy

Chessademy enhances critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity in primary and secondary school students through chess. By improving access to quality education and fostering lifelong learning, it helps students build confidence and develop essential life skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.

About the Millennium Fellow

Michael Bamisile is a graduate from the Federal University of Technology, Akure, where he majored in Agricultural and Environmental Engineering. With a deep commitment to driving socio-economic change in Nigeria, Michael is passionate about sustainability, particularly in areas such as food security, quality education, and clean energy. Through his volunteer work and internships with various organizations, he has actively contributed to his community and seeks to broaden his impact on a larger scale. As he advances in his career, Michael remains dedicated to fostering sustainable solutions that drive meaningful change.
