" "You are never too small to lead. I once struggled with low self-esteem, constantly believing that others were better than me. However, learning a skill gave me the confidence to realize that I have something valuable to offer the world. Joining the Millennium Fellowship will allow me to reach out to other young people who face similar challenges, empowering them with knowledge and helping them see the importance of acquiring skills and pursuing academic excellence. I am thrilled to be part of this opportunity." "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Reaching The Unreached

Reaching the Unreached is a project focused on providing teenagers with access to digital skills and literacy, particularly those in underserved and rural communities. This initiative stems from the pressing concern that many children remain unaware of the power of the internet and the importance of digital literacy in today’s world.
For countless young individuals, the internet is an untapped resource—they lack the knowledge of how to leverage it for personal and professional growth. Without these essential skills, many grow up without the ability to secure jobs or create opportunities, leaving them vulnerable to poverty and dependence.
The project aims to bridge this gap by visiting primary and secondary schools to inform students about digital skills, the importance of the internet, and how they can use technology to shape their futures. By teaching children about the potential of the digital world, Reaching the Unreached equips them with the tools needed to secure employment, build self-reliance, and contribute meaningfully to their communities.

About the Millennium Fellow

Lateef Solomon is a passionate young man committed to helping young people grow in both skills and academics. He is currently a third-year student at the Federal University of Technology, Akure, Nigeria, studying Industrial Mathematics. Solomon’s love for mathematics began in his college years, leading him to pursue a degree in mathematical sciences. Alongside his academic interests, he developed a passion for brand design, a skill that allows him to help business owners establish strong brands and stand out among competitors. His dual passions for mathematics and brand design have equipped him with the tools to impact his community by promoting intellectual development and academic excellence. Solomon has actively participated in several volunteer programs, where he has had the opportunity to address young people on the importance of learning digital skills and excelling academically. Through the Millennium Fellowship, he plans to create a platform that empowers young people to acquire digital skills while also achieving academic success.
