" Chanting Sanskrit shloka “Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah, Sarve Santu Nirāmayāḥ”, which translates to “May all beings be at peace, and may no one suffer from illness,” every morning has inspired me to learn about the advancements in the field of science and engineering and to imagine how I can play a part in developing the medicines of tomorrow and creating a disease-free world. I believe these initiatives serve the basis for my interest in bringing farm-fresh food to communities in need. I am excited to become a Millennium Fellow to be able to witness the impact that I can make on my local communities. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: OASIS: Healthy Lives

The Oasis: Healthy Lives nonprofit is an organization started by me to address the critical issue of food insecurity and promote healthier lifestyles in underserved communities. Through Oasis, we aim to provide fresh produce to food deserts in Massachusetts while educating individuals, particularly children, about nutrition and sustainable living. We deliver weekly fresh food boxes to churches, food banks, and community organizations, ensuring that families without access to grocery stores have nutritious options. Additionally, we work on empowering communities through health education programs, simple cooking workshops, and accessible recipe cards to encourage healthier eating habits.
