Millennium Fellowship Project: The AI Research Ethics Initiative
The AI Research Ethics Initiative is dedicated to promoting and advancing ethical practices in biomedical research that utilizes artificial intelligence and machine learning. Integrating ethical considerations into research processes is crucial for mitigating risks and fostering trust. Our goal is to develop a comprehensive ethical framework for biomedical AI research, focusing on transparency, accountability, and the responsible use of technology. We hope this framework will serve as a robust foundation for responsible AI research that can be adapted and applied globally.
About the Millennium Fellow
Sriya Surapaneni is a senior studying Biomedical Engineering with a minor in Computer Science at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Her goal is to better aid medical professionals in making healthcare decisions by leveraging software and machine learning. After graduation, Sriya hopes to pursue a master's degree in Artificial Intelligence for Healthcare and work as an AI specialist in the medical technology industry. She is also interested in research regarding the brain and artificial neural networks, and hopes to one day pursue a PhD studying these fields together.
