United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 52,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2024 on 6,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 280+ campuses worldwide (just 5%) were selected to host the 4,000+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Fostering Female Leadership - NETRUTVA

Balika Panchayat is the initiative taken by GNLU students in the village of Koba in order to promote goal 5 and 10. This project looked into the root problem of underrepresentation of women in the policy formation. Thus leading to an void between the real problem faced by women and policies made to solve them. By choosing an representative from the younger generation of women, they have increased their say and representation in the policy formation. This particular initiative has helped the women to easily keep their issues and problems in front of the society without any hesitation. This initiative has also enhanced the confidence and decision making power of women in the society.

About the Millennium Fellow

Aishani Agarwal is a hard working, dedicated and passionate law student currently pursuing a BBA.LLB (Hons) at Gujarat National Law University, Gandhinagar. Originally from Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, India, Aishani has consistently demonstrated a commitment to social justice and community service. Her volunteering experiences with Teach for India and The Akshaya Patra Foundation highlight her dedication to societal betterment. Through her internships, Aishani has actively advocated for social justice and philanthropy, reflecting her deep-seated belief in creating positive change. She views this opportunity as a chance to collaborate with like-minded individuals committed to making a difference and aspires to contribute meaningfully towards the achievement of sustainable development goals.
