" I'm excited to be a Millennium Fellow because it gives me the opportunity to collaborate with like-minded individuals who are equally passionate about driving positive change. I do the work I do because I believe that every person, regardless of their background, deserves access to quality education. Education is the key to unlocking potential and fostering a more equitable society, and I'm dedicated to making that a reality for all. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Adult Literacy Drive

The Adult Literacy Drive at Gujarat National Law University (GNLU) is a post-COVID initiative designed to bridge educational gaps and empower marginalized individuals within the university community. The program focuses on providing practical literacy skills to hostel working staff through weekly sessions, covering essential subjects like basic reading, writing, and numeracy. The goal is to enhance their daily lives and create opportunities for personal and professional growth.
The drive fosters inclusivity by ensuring that staff members, who often lack access to formal education, have a platform to learn and develop new skills. Collaboration has been key to its success, with faculty, students, and external organizations actively involved in supporting the initiative. This collaborative approach has enriched the learning experience and fostered a sense of community and shared responsibility. The project reflects my commitment to education and inclusivity, and it has been instrumental in creating a supportive learning environment for all participants. Through this initiative, I have not only contributed to educational development but also cultivated an atmosphere of respect, empowerment, and continuous learning within the GNLU community.
