" I am honoured to be a Millennium Fellow as this opportunity allows us to transform a simple idea into a meaningful, long-term impact. I envision providing students with sustainability education that equips them with practical skills to manage living costs and minimise their environmental footprint. I believe this initiative has the potential to grow into a broader movement, creating a ripple effect that addresses food insecurity and promotes sustainability. Every small step we take plants seeds for a future of lasting change. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Growing Health - Seed to Plate

The "Growing Health: Seed to Plate" initiative is designed to address the rising cost of living, promote sustainability, and foster inclusivity within the Griffith University community. By providing students with free herb plants, along with QR codes that link to recipes, growing tips, and sustainable cooking guides, the project empowers students to grow their own food and prepare nutritious, affordable meals.
In addition to supporting sustainability, the initiative integrates a Peace Tree Wall, encouraging students to write messages of peace and unity. These messages are displayed to inspire connection and inclusivity on campus, making students feel welcomed and valued.
