United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 52,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2024 on 6,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 280+ campuses worldwide (just 5%) were selected to host the 4,000+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: SkillBoost

The SkillBoost Mentorship Program at Gombe State University is a two-month initiative designed to enhance students' technical skills and foster innovation. Open to students across all faculties and academic levels, the program offers:
Weekly Hands-On Sessions: Practical, step-by-step learning guided by experienced mentors.
Real-World Applications: Opportunities to work on meaningful projects and challenges.
Google Technology Integration: Leveraging cutting-edge tools and resources like Firebase, TensorFlow, and Google Cloud solutions.
Objectives:
Equip students with essential technical and problem-solving skills.
Develop solutions addressing local challenges.
Foster collaboration and innovation within the university community.

About the Millennium Fellow

Adamu Muhammad Muhammad is a software developer and former Lead of the Google Developer Student Club, He leads the SkillBoost Mentorship Program at Gombe State University, which empowers students with practical skills in Google Technology, this program emphasizes holistic learning, community collaboration, and local problem-solving, covering topics like version control, web fundamentals, and tensorFlow. Adamu’s work contributes to addressing the 17 Sustainable Development Goals by transforming skills into impactful solutions for local and global challenges, reflecting his commitment to sustainable development and innovation
