" Despite having participated in other fellowships and exchange programs, Millennium Fellowship remained a fundamental aspect of my vision. Because it brings a unique opportunity for me to first of all collaborate with the like-minded peers from university to impact my immediate community, and also meet and network with global student leaders who share similar visions of impacting humanity. Additionally, as a budden humanitarian who aspire to work with the United Nations in the future for global impact, the fellowship would serve as a rubric for building a strong foundation for achieving that vision. Lastly, I am always excited to learn new perspectives, connect with individuals from different backgrounds, and share my experience with the global community, and there is no better opportunity to actualise it than to be a millennium fellow. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Sustainability Field Trips
Sustainability Field Trips is a groundbreaking initiative designed to empower young individuals and students with the necessary knowledge, skills, and experience to become climate and environmental sustainability stewards to address the challenges impacting their communities. The project has trained 20 students from Gombe State University through academic sessions and field trips to conservation areas to provide them with the opportunity to better understand the issue by relating what they've been taught in classrooms with the field experience.
