About the Millennium Fellow

Simbarashe Banda is a hardworking , compassionate and energetic 23 year old who lives in Zimbabwe. He is a third year law student studying in Masvingo Province of the same country. He can trace his roots throughout the SADC region leading him to joke that he is African rather than Zimbabwean. Simba has always been passionate about climate justice and it's relationship with human rights particularly in the mining communities as they are mostly affected and deprived of their benefits by large corporations.
