Millennium Fellowship Project: Speak Out for the Future
The project seeks to teach young people about how they can make coperates accountable for the harm they cause to the environment in the pursuance of their business. It focuses mostly on mining communities and seeks to address SDG10
About the Millennium Fellow
Simbarashe Banda is a hardworking , compassionate and energetic 23 year old who lives in Zimbabwe. He is a third year law student studying in Masvingo Province of the same country. He can trace his roots throughout the SADC region leading him to joke that he is African rather than Zimbabwean. Simba has always been passionate about climate justice and it's relationship with human rights particularly in the mining communities as they are mostly affected and deprived of their benefits by large corporations.
