Millennium Fellowship Project: Lief-Crisp
Lief-Crisp is a project focusing on creating bio-air filters using an water hyacinth that maybe combined with a bacteria Lief-Crisp is a project focusing on creating bio-air filters using an water hyacinth that maybe combined with a bacteria (Bacillus subtilis). It aims to develop a sustainable air filtration system that not only improves air quality but also tackles the environmental challenges posed by invasive species. Once the filters reach the end of their efficiency, they can be reused as biofertilizers by small-scale farmers.
About the Millennium Fellow
Munashe Fenyere is a second-year biotechnology student at the Harare Institute of
Technology, born in Kambuzuma, Harare, Zimbabwe. He is an active member of both ENACTUS and ROTARACT, contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals through innovative projects and community engagement. With a passion for fostering sustainable change, Munashe employs a collaborative approach that inspires his peers and community. His dedication to social entrepreneurship and commitment to impactful initiatives reflect his innovative mindset, positioning him as a promising leader in the pursuit of solutions for a better future.
