Millennium Fellowship Project: Indoors Sensory Assistive Spactacles
The project develops "smart spactacles" for visually impaired people, incorporating infrared sensors and an Arduino microcontroller to detect obstacles and deliver auditory cues, improving mobility, safety, and independence.
About the Millennium Fellow
Tafara Chinavamwe is a 25-year-old young man who is a STEM enthusiast.He is presently enrolled in the third year of the Harare Institute of Technology's Electronic Engineering program. Additionally, in an effort to become more professional, he is an intern at the Harare Institute of Technology working in the TTLCC department. In his spare time, he enjoys playing and watching soccer, tinkering with electronics, especially hardware programming, and hanging out with friends. He has a strong interest in design, technology, and solving problems. He is eager to try new things and push himself to become a better person. He is very interested in where his career and studies will lead him.
