The Hong Kong Polytechnic University | Hong Kong, China | Advancing SDG 11, SDG 3 & UNAI 9

" "I'm driven by the urgency to restore the connection between urban residents and nature, a bond that's been weakened by the rapid pace of urbanization. The 'Millions of Green' project represents more than just distributing plants; it's about rekindling a sustainable lifestyle in the heart of the city. Through the Millennium Fellowship, I am eager to amplify this impact, ensuring that future generations can enjoy the benefits of a greener, more sustainable environment." "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Millions of Green
Millions of Green reconnects urban
residents with nature and promotes
sustainability. We provide soilless
cultivation bottles for growing plants
in homes and workplaces, fostering
appreciation for greenery and
encouraging eco-friendly practices.
Our initiative has cultivated a
vibrant online community where
participants share experiences and
tips, enhancing collective learning.
We also promote plant sharing,
encouraging adopters to pass on new
plants to friends and neighbors,
broadening our impact.
Ultimately, Millions of Green is a
movement to reintroduce nature into
urban life and empower individuals to
become champions of environmental
change. 🌿🌱
About the Millennium Fellow
Jiawei Bi is a dedicated and innovative student at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, double majoring in business and science. He is passionate about environmental sustainability, and firmly believe that technology is for the better and fairer development of society. The experience of living in big cities all his life made him notice the severe lack of self-sufficiency in agricultural products and green plants for urban residents and He has therefore been committed to using the scientific knowledge to solve this problem in the past few years, and he plans to continue in the future. Jiawei hopes to connect with more like-minded individuals in the future, allowing him to fully leverage his influence in advancing the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals.
