Millennium Fellowship Project: Snakecup
Snakecup is a project dedicated to addressing the improper disposal of expired medications among elderly people living alone in Hong Kong. Many seniors, often managing multiple prescriptions, face challenges in safely disposing of unused or expired drugs. This issue leads to environmental pollution and health hazards, impacting both the community and local ecosystems. Snakecup provides a comprehensive solution through an app that not only monitors expiration dates but also facilitates recycling, contributing to a greener, healthier society.
About the Millennium Fellow
Pengfei Yu is a dynamic and globally-minded student at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, pursuing a BBA in Management (Marketing) and Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics. Born in Nanchang, China, and now studying in Hong Kong, Pengfei has cultivated a deep passion for social innovation and sustainable development. As the President of Enactus PolyU, he has led numerous impactful projects aimed at addressing community development challenges. Pengfei’s leadership in organizing sustainable business events and his commitment to social action underscore his dedication to making a positive difference. He aspires to continue leveraging his skills and experiences to contribute to the advancement of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.
