" It is truly an honor to be a Millennium Fellow. I am extremely excited to get started because I will be able to plan and implement my project with the help and feedback of professionals and my peers. By getting to know each other and learn about each other's aspirations, it will truly be an inspirational journey for me ahead. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Empowering Minorities
Our initiative, Empowering Minorities, was created to address the significant challenges faced by the ethnic minorities growing up in Hong Kong, such as racial discrimination and limited career opportunities. Our goal is to become an impactful social enterprise that offers a transformative opportunity for ethnic minorities youths who choose not to pursue further education due to the lack of empowerment. By providing structured skills training for high in-demand digital skill sets, mentoring, and global internship opportunities, we aim to break cycles of intergenerational poverty and empower minorities to excel in digital careers. This initiative not only fills talent gaps in the industry but also promotes remote work, allowing participants to overcome language barriers and work in flexible environments.
