"

Millennium Fellowship Project: Dogs of Hidayatullah National Law University

This project was an intitiative to look after the animals present on the campus in all aspects of being with a specific emphasis on dogs. I felt the need to spread awareness about the same since the way dogs are treated with so much contempt and hate does not sit well with me. As humans we encroach on their lands and territories and yet audaciously kick them out of their natural homes. My empathy for animals stems from my upringing wherein it was engrained in me to respect life of all forms. A true empath or an animal lover is not someone who differentiates between certain animals but someone who understands that all life is precious. In pursuance of this motive i undertook various measures along with some other students from my university to ensure a daily feeding scheme, vaccination drives, neutering and spaying as well as undertaking all health emergencies. It has not been easy since there are multiple dogs and we have very little support both from the admin as well as other students but at the end of the day i sleepwell knowing that whatever little contribution i make improves the well being of voiceless animal.
