" "Serving humanity" is the best way to recognize yourself - this is what I believe in. I have a vision to improve society at the very first stage and the world later on and for this, all I need is a strong platform where I can connect with the world's top leaders and community workers who aspire to bring change into the world and thus join hands with them to improve our society and the world as whole. That's why I believe being a Millennium Fellow will be the best way to work on my vision. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Educating Farmers, Ending Hunger

Sustainable Development Goal 2, known as 'Zero Hunger,' focuses on ending hunger, ensuring everyone can access safe and nutritious food, and promoting sustainable agriculture by 2030. Globally, the challenges are immense: over 600 million people are expected to face hunger by 2030, food insecurity affects one in three people, and malnutrition remains widespread, especially among children. Achieving this goal also requires reducing high food prices, supporting small-scale farmers, and building resilience against climate shocks. In Pakistan, several initiatives are aligned with SDG 2 to tackle these challenges. The National Food Security Policy works to make food more accessible, while the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) provides nutrition support to vulnerable families. The Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (PARC) develops climate
resistant crops to support farmers, and community programs focus on improving food production, educating about nutrition, and preventing malnutrition. These efforts reflect Pakistan’s commitment to the global Zero Hunger goal, aiming to support vulnerable groups and create a sustainable, food-secure future. We also worked on a project related to the visions and targets of SDG 2. Our focus was on the farmers and the agricultural land they cultivate. We wanted to equip our farmers with such knowledge and guidance that they could maximize crop production out of their lands. Our project was to eradicate hunger by making our farmers strong through education. We named our project “Educating Farmers, Eradicating Hunger.” Many people in our region are living below the poverty line, and the most common problem faced is that they go to bed with an empty, starving belly at night.
