United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 52,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2024 on 6,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 280+ campuses worldwide (just 5%) were selected to host the 4,000+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Educate Us

EDUCATE US is a initiative comprising millennium fellow students from diverse fields dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of secondary school students in our community. The project is centered around five key areas: Enhancing Digital Literacy, Providing Mentorship for pursuing higher education, imparting Lucrative Skills, Educating on Nutrition, and Cultivating Effective Communication through public speaking. The approach to achieving these goals involves: Sequentially visiting each secondary school to address the aforementioned objectives, and also cultivating partnerships with other relevant stakeholders.

About the Millennium Fellow

Adetutu Adewumi is an advocate for child survivors of abuse who is passionate for positive changes and development. With a focus on empowering and amplifying the voices of vulnerable children. She has gained 4 years of experience in the field, including leading the #Notleftbehind project for people with disabilities in 2023. And being a lead coordinator of She must know project for Secondary school girls within and outside Osun state.

She is a survivor of Gender based violence using her voice and writing skills to save other children from what she experienced. She is deeply passionate about sharing the stories of child survivors and raising awareness about the issues of gender indiscrimination and inequality. She is fully certified in media campaigns and have successfully raised awareness about important issues through various media outlets. She is currently serving as a project coordinator for Initiative for Girls rights and health development while pursuing a Bsc. in Sociology program at the University of Ibadan, Oyo state Nigeria.
