United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 52,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2024 on 6,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 280+ campuses worldwide (just 5%) were selected to host the 4,000+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Responsible Youths In Health

It is driven towards youth in awareness to their health. I took the position of the health and Welfare Minister of my department, department of Agronomy, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Ibadan;
Biweekly newsletters were sent;
An online health webinar was done using Microsoft teams. I invited Red Cross Society, University of Ibadan detachment and a 500 level nursing student. Organized on June 20, 2024;
A health day was organized on December 11,2024.

About the Millennium Fellow

Oluwafunmilayo Adekemi Adewuyi is a dedicated and emerging Soil Scientist specializing in Agronomy at the University of Ibadan. A native of Ogbomoso, Oyo State, she was born and raised in Ibadan. Adewuyi is passionate about sustainable agricultural practices and advocates for reducing the use of harmful chemicals in food production, skincare, and soil management. Her focus is on soil microbiology, aiming to enhance crop growth through natural microbes. As the current Health and Welfare Minister of her department, she actively promotes health awareness, aligning her efforts with the Sustainable Development Goals 3, 8, 15, and 17.
