UNITED NATIONS ACADEMIC IMPACT AND MCN PROUDLY PRESENT BENEDICT AYOYIM UGOR, A MILLENNIUM FELLOW AND CAMPUS DIRECTOR FOR THE CLASS OF 2024.
University of Ibadan | Ibadan, Nigeria | Advancing SDG 3 & UNAI 9

" To me, the biggest achievement is improving the lives of others in no matter how small a way—be it by our attitude, leadership, work, or simply being a positive influence on people around us. That is exactly why I am excited to be a Millennium Fellow. In this community where everyone wants to make a positive impact, it feels like paradise. The Millennium Fellowship provides me with the ideal platform to bring about a positive change in my campus by carrying out projects that aim to solve specific challenges, and ultimately advance the UN SDGs. I do not expect it to be all rosy because even roses have thorns, but I am ready to overcome challenges and make the roses bloom flowers. By combatting the spread of malaria and infestation of bedbugs in my school community, "Project Fighting the Bite" will help improve the health and well-being of students, allowing them to become more efficient in their studies, thereby improving their academic performance and quality of live. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Project Fighting The Bite
Project Fighting the Bite is a student-led initiative aimed at curbing the spread of malaria within the University of Ibadan through the implementation of effective preventive measures. These include distributing free insecticide-treated bed nets (ITNs), educating students on malaria prevention, and advocating for environmental sanitation.
