Millennium Fellowship Project: HIV/AIDS Awareness
HIV/AIDS Awareness is based on the effort to educate the communities or an individual about the causes, symptoms, preventive measures as well as the management treatment of HIV/AIDS. This can help to reduce and eradicate social stigmatization associated with the disease and will facilitate an encouragement to people to participate in adequate testing and safe practices to prevent the disease. My HIV/AIDS Awareness initiative addresses the stigma and as well as lack of inadequate testing and diagnosis of HIV/AIDS in the community. Through the organizing of community outreach and the provision of free test kits for HIV testing, the project enhanced the knowledge among individuals about the prevention, treatment and early diagnosis of the disease.
The goal of the project is to reduce and, if possible, eradicate the stigma associated with the viral disease. This project will create an impact by reducing the transmission rates of the disease among individuals and as well create a safe and well-being environment for the affected individuals.
