" I think that in a free environment, creativity and production flourish. In keeping with
the UNSDGs and UNAI goals, I will be able to learn from such an environment as a
Millennium Fellow and better prepare myself to impact my environment overall. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: The EquiPeace Initiative

The initiative addresses societal inequalities, such as discrimination based on ethnicity, age, background, or status. We believe that societal dysfunction and criminality are mostly caused by engrained discrimination, in which access to opportunities is frequently based on social standing rather than merit. The project aims to raise awareness of the negative consequences of socioeconomic and ethnic inequality, to reduce these concerns through education. While inequality cannot be eliminated, it can be reduced to establish a more peaceful, merit-based society.

About the Millennium Fellow

Oluwadara Babalola is a youthful, intelligent man who is passionate about progress.
Dara is a student of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the University of Ibadan.
He was brought up in the southwest of Nigeria. Growing up in a multicultural setting,
he has seen and experienced age, gender, and tribe prejudice throughout his life.
These experiences, as well as the consequences they cause, have always been a
burden for him and have motivated him to speak out against it wherever he has been.
His campaign against it on several fronts was the result of this drive. His professional
aspirations are to break through these artificial walls and cultivate the next generation
of champions who will bring harmony to human interactions.
