Millennium Fellowship Project: Empower Mom,Empower Child: Sickle Cell Awareness
This project was to raise awareness among undergraduate and young children about Sickle cell disease and prevention. And also to sensitive the public how to support people living with the disease.
About the Millennium Fellow
Abereola Sarah is a dedicated Nursing student at the University of Ibadan, deeply committed to making a meaningful impact in her community and the health sector. Born and raised in Nigeria, and currently residing in Ekiti State, Sarah’s passion for societal betterment stems from personal experiences and a profound desire to drive change.
Sarah actively volunteers with non-governmental organizations that align with her vision and is a fervent advocate for eradicating sickle cell disease. Her leadership journey began in her first year at university, where she has consistently taken on roles that reflect her dedication and drive.
With a strong commitment to contributing to the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals, Sarah is eager to further develop her skills and embrace new opportunities to make a global impact.
